After Sony and Microsoft failed to announce his plans to bring a new game console in a 2012 exhibition game, one of the game industry analyst Michael Pachter believes that the new version of the Xbox 720 and Playstation 4 will be delayed even longer.
Pachter from Morgan Wesbush assess PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 maybe will be announced in two years or more precisely in 2014.
“It is widely heard that Microsoft and Sony about their plans to launch a new console, the two manufacturers are expected to start selling the console at the end of 2013,” wrote Pachter.
“However, we believe that Microsoft could delay the launch of a new console until spring 2014 to accommodate what is sure to be a tremendous demand among hardcore gamers,” he said, as quoted from Softpedia, Thursday (09/06/2012).
Meanwhile, Gamestop CEO Paul Raines said he did not expect a lot of Xbox 720 and PS4 will be sold in 2013.
This year the only game console to get a refresher is Wii U, which will soon be launched by Nintendo in the near future. Although this console has been introduced since last year.
